Third place           Peter Wesson

Disbanded               A great shot with wonderful lighting and shadows.  The dark window, however, is a distraction taking the eye way off to the right, whereas the ‘circular’ composition of the instruments within a square frame would allow the eye to travel around the subjects.

Second place        Cecilia Corbett

Goblet drum           A well lit and sharp image.  The use of a plain background is a good choice, allowing full attention to be given to the composition.  The hands provide scale and context.

First place             Gwenydd Thomas

Timbrel                    Excellent!  Good lighting and arrangement of the ribbons.  Good colour enhanced by the choice of a black background.
