January 2021 - Lockdown Images
1st - Peter Wyles - Swan Feather
An absolutely stunning shot. You have managed to capture the subject with incredible detail with excellent framing and contrast. You judicious use of a dark vignette has drawn my attention to the subject. A splendid piece of artwork.
2nd - Janet Cox -Worn out
I like this monochrome image because it so full of dramatic effect. It suggests a hard life at sea enduring over many years. The subject has an immensely strong presence. A brave attempt that has paid off.
3rd - Andrew Terry - Bee in my garden
A tack sharp image. Great detail, composition and colour. Like most flying insects they don’t “park” for long so timing is so critical
HC - Gwenydd Thomas - Bodenham Arboretum
A gorgeous shot with lots of autumnal colour. Good framing sweeping the eye across the photo and coupled with great clarity.
C - Cecilia Corbett - Weird and wonderful
Weird and wonderful this creature may be but I am also aware is that these creatures rarely settle anywhere for more than a split second or so. You did well to capture this with so much detail and sharpness.
Ideally I would have liked to have seen more of its body. Great attempt.
