October 2021 - Monochrome

The subject for October’s on line competition was Monochrome. Many images recorded in colour are improved by converting them to monochrome such as those with textures, lead in lines, shapes and patterns. Images without shadows or contrast can look a bit flat so where the light is soft the photographer needs to focus on creating atmosphere such as in morning mist. Or add a bit more punch to the image in post processing.
