Image Sizes
The 1024 maximum image size for the Online Competitions was set many years ago, and was intended to avoid disadvantaging less well equipped members. We now feel that it is time to increase that limit, given that we all have better cameras and phones.
Therefore we are increasing the maximum image size from January 2021 to 1600 pixels. We will notify judges so that they don't penalise any entrant who submits photos in a smaller size. In all other respects the competition rules remain the same.
Hergest Croft gardens are now open again and their photo competition has been extended, so there is still plenty of time to visit and enter the competition
For opening details see the Hergest Croft website : https://www.hergest.co.uk/

If you have any contributions please send them direct to her.
Dear members
We have introduced a new website feature to help keep you going during the Coronavirus lockdown. It's called the Forum and you can access it from the tab on the main window.
The idea is to have some stimulating ideas : we will add a couple to kick things off, then if you have any ideas you can either send those to us, or you can post them yourselves if you have logged in to the website. Also if you have logged in you can comment on the previous posts and let us know what you think. Or just be chatty !
In view of the new recommendations issued by the Government today your committee has decided to cancel planned meetings until further notice. An email will be sent to all members in due course : please pass this information to any members you are in contact with.
Congratulations to the four members who have had images accepted for the Midlands Counties Photo Federation "MidPhot" exhibition 2020. As the club is a member of the MCPF, all our individual members may submit images for the exhibition, which runs from the 20th to the 22nd of March.
Peter and Lin Wyles, Sue Vernon and Rez Goodarzi were all successful - there is a gallery of their accepted entries here
Three presentations were made by Robert Williams to members at the AGM on Monday 3rd February
Mary and Gerald Oliver received a gardening gift token in recognition of their efforts to raise funds for our charity. Mary and Gerald are the biggest contributors to the club's charity efforts and their contribution is much appreciated.
Sue Vernon received the trophy for the 2019 on-line competition, awarded to the best point scorer over the year.
