We are very sad to report the death of our former Chairman and founding member Robert "Bob" Hall.

A lifelong Salvationist, we say he has been Promoted to Glory. He was an encourager and inspiration to those of us new to photography and also to the more proficient photographer.

Bob supported and attended the club for as long as he could until failing health caused him to take a step back. He was always asking how things were going and regularly viewed the club website to see the competition results.

The April 2022 Print competition winners were :

2. Paul Jackson - "Selecting the Menu"
3. Sue Griffin- "Looking down on the City"

At the February 2022 club meeting, Lin Wyles presented the winner's trophy for the 2021 on-line competition to Cecilia Corbett

At our November 2021 meeting the winner's trophy for the A4 challenge competition was presented to Paul Jackson by Lin Wyles.

The Museum of Gloucester is hosting the International Photography Exhibition
in partnership with the Royal Photographic Society between 27th January and 5th June 2022

At the November meeting, Colin Walls presented Sue Vernon with the trophy as winner of the 2020 Online photo competition.

Image Sizes

The 1024 maximum image size for the Online Competitions was set many years ago, and was intended to avoid disadvantaging less well equipped members. We now feel that it is time to increase that limit, given that we all have better cameras and phones.

Therefore we are increasing the maximum image size from January 2021 to 1600 pixels. We will notify judges so that they don't penalise any entrant who submits photos in a smaller size. In all other respects the competition rules remain the same.
