Saturday 18th May finally arrived and the coach outing to Birmingham was upon us. There was a great deal of necessary preparation for the outing this year but it was all worthwhile as a good time was had by all. The weather was kind to us and the sun eventually appeared.

Birmingham was busy but there was a lovely atmosphere. We hope the happy snappers are pleased with their resulting photographs of buildings, canals, graffiti, people etc

Here are some of the snappers on the day.

The prints judged on July 1st were excellent. These are the winners:

April's Print competition was the first time we had tried requesting members send digital images (DPI's) as well as prints, so that we could simultaneously project the images.

Despite a slow start, we had an excellent total of 57 entries submitted, and the process ran pretty smoothly. Peter Warner was the judge, the first time at our club for him.

The winners of the annual competitions were presented with their awards at the February 2024 meeting

The awards are made according to the aggregate scores in the individual competitions during the year, so consistency is the key.
